“He puts the safety of himself and the community at risk.”

That’s what court documents say about Wyatt Bolita.

Bolita is alleged to have been riding a motorcycle recklessly when he pointed a gun at a Nebraska conservation officer, which led to a pursuit that ended with his arrest in a cornfield.

He was released after posting 10% of his $10,000 bond ($1,000).

He gambled with his life that day. He’s fortunate that pursuit ended with handcuffs.

Just weeks before that arrest, Bolita had been convicted in Sarpy County for flight to avoid arrest.

Then, just one day after his release from jail, a probation officer searched Bolita’s bedroom and found multiple weapons.

He’s headed back to jail.

Repeat offenders aren't learning anything from their actions or punishments. We know this isn't his first time doing this.

It's time to bring back the Stockade & Starve Punishment for all criminals....

It would certainly reduce jail time and replace it with harsher punishment that people would be forced to learn from. And for the heinous crimes the criminals simply get the death-penalty by standing out in the freezing cold of winter and summer humid heat if they want to truly FAFO.

Who robs a Subway employee of their hard-earned tips at gunpoint?

We need your help identifying this suspect.

On the afternoon of June 25, the suspect walked into the Subway near 108th and Maple and immediately pulled a gun. The employees, fearing for their lives, ran out the back door to safety.

The suspect got away with the tip jar, taking money those employees had worked hard to earn.

The Omaha Police Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of Jamise Thompson, 28. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the same incident.

BREAKING -- One person is in the hospital following a late-night crash in the area of 104th Avenue and Old Maple Road near Comfort Suites.

While crews continue to search Wherspann Lake and the surrounding Chalco Rec Area, the missing victim’s mother has asked that we share his photo.

His name is Wyatt Bernal and he is 19 years old. He went missing yesterday afternoon after his canoe he was fishing from with his friend capsized. A 17 year old was able to make it to shore, Wyatt remains missing.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s office has not released an official statement or press release and they are not asking for volunteers at this time. This scene remains active, please avoid the area and give emergency crews room to conduct a thorough search as they continue to look for Wyatt.
