We’d go back if we could. We’d trade places with any of the selfless warriors that gave more than we had to. We survived, and that, to us, is unfair for those that didn’t. We have no sympathy for those of us that go through the endless remorse and guilt, yet we empathize with how it feels. We don’t miss the fight; but we would relish in its return. We struggle, we weigh, and we carry on. There may be no room for failure, but it is inevitably crushing as failure is all we face in this time of endless standby.
