June marks the beginning of Pride Month, the month that the homophobes, bigots, and generally ignorant people of the world love to hate. Given our current toxic political and social environment, precipitated by the hate-filled thing called Donald Trump, pride season is an important focus, and one that must always be celebrated. Pride season remains ever so important because it is a voice of hope and reason for those who are marginalized and now being persecuted for who they were born to be.
Pride celebrations will be held all over the country and world to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is a season that marks the better aspects of our humanity and respects those who are different. No one should be persecuted and condemned for who they are. Pride Month celebrates those differences and calls for fair and just treatment of all human beings, no matter who or what they are. It truly sickens me that in 2026, we are still plagued with the lies, misconceptions, and downright ignorant portrayals of what being q***r means. We must never give up the fight for justice for all, and a more perfect Union, which sadly has become a s**tstain on our history because of the current regime destroying the fundamental building blocks of our nation, and our Constitutional freedoms that we have cherished for 250 years.

I encourage you all to get to a Pride event near you and make your voices heard. We are q***r, we are here, we are not going anywhere. We will still be here after the mother fu**er in Washington, and his MAGAT minions are gone. Have a wonderful Pride season. Never be ashamed to be YOU.

Too funny. I was going through a bunch of stuff today, and ran across this letter that I received after I left my City Clerk gig. Classic. I will always keep this to remind me of how ignorantly stupid homophobes truly are. Not that I need a letter to remind me of that fact. This person is/was a Jehovah's Witness, too, which explains a lot about their craziness expressed in this letter. I am not even sure if she is still alive now. Do I really care, though? NOT.
"I'm very disappointed in your overt behavior regarding your homos*xuality. Your parents are two of the nicest people I've ever known, and they don't deserve to be hurt this way. It hurts me to know they must be hurting. After your father tried so hard to help you get that City Clerk job, he can't feel too happy you're leaving it so soon to advance your aggressiveness of homos*xuals. I mean, really, why should anyone feel sorry for all you guys who choose to kiss each other's dick? If that's your preference, which goes entirely against the Bible, what is there to be proud of? Everyone in life has a cross to bear. Why should you be any different?
The younger generation feels sympathy for your group because they haven't had to grow up watching the older f**gs trying to recruit the younger ones. That's why they were shut out of the Boy Scouts and should never be let back in.
So, please, stop hurting your parents and making a mockery of yourself by flaunting your s*xuality. What's next, a s*x tape on the Internet? I wouldn't be surprised."
I remember when I showed this letter to my mom, her exact words were, "She will never step foot in this house again." Also, this person would certainly lose her s**t if she ever read "Unredacted" or watched the YouTube video of me nekked in another man's bathtub doing an interview. LMAO.
Very sadly, though, this attitude is still very alive today, 13 years later, as it will always be. That is why the battle will never stop. We are q***r, we are here, we are not going anywhere. GET USED TO IT.
