Starting next week, we’re kicking off a two-week community food drive to support our local food pantries and neighbors in need.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Fredrick John Schaefer, who departed this life, unexpectedly, on Oct. 19, 2025, at the age of 46. Fred was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, cherished by family, friends, and all who knew him.

Jason R. Waege, 41, of Tomah, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family after a yearlong battle with Ewing Sarcoma. He was born Oct. 3, 1983, the son of Gary and Susan (McClelland) Waege.
