Dr. Carrie Morris, a triple board-certified eyelid and facial plastic surgeon and cosmetic laser surgeon, blends her medical background and fine, artistic detail with a passion for enhancing natural beauty. In this first part of our exclusive series, the Baldwin County native shares her philosophy, favorite procedures, and the emerging innovations she’s most excited about.
As an eyelid and facial plastic surgeon, I’ve always seen beauty as a balance between science and artistry. With a background in both, I’m able to approach every face not just with technical precision, but with an artist’s eye. At Southern Coastal Aesthetics, my goal is never to change who you are — it’s to refine what makes you feel like your best self.
My passion for facial anatomy began in medical school, but my love for creativity started long before that. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of using design and structure to bring out something meaningful — and today, that shows up in every patient I treat. Oftentimes patients come in worried about looking “overdone” or losing so much of their natural features they do not look like themselves. My goal is to help them look refreshed and not different; whether that involves a small tweak or a more transformative approach, it’s always about creating results that feel natural, fresh, and empowering.
When appropriate, I like to involve the patient in their customized care plan rather than dictate what they should do. When both patient and physician are comfortable and confident with the approach, the results are both beautiful and emboldening.
Laser technology plays a major role in what I do. From CO₂ resurfacing to bladeless eyelid lifts using UltraPulse lasers, I use advanced tools that allow for incredible precision with minimal downtime. Incorporating laser technology gives me an additional layer of precision by allowing me to tailor treatments, enhance patient outcomes, improve safety, and minimize down time for patients. Lasers are a versatile tool along with mastery techniques complement my approach to facial aesthetics. I’m selective about what I offer — if it’s not safe, effective, and truly beneficial, I won’t recommend it.
Some of the most requested procedures in my practice include eyelid lifts, brow lifts, laser skin rejuvenation, hair transplants, and laser-assisted neck contouring. Many of my patients also love the subtle boost from carefully placed injectables. After practicing for almost two decades and performing thousands of surgeries, I always perform them with the same artistic philosophy in mind.
Self-care is an investment in your health and wellness (including skin). It isn’t selfish, it’s self-respect. We often prioritize everyone else important to us. But remember- we show up for others when we feel our best.
But more than the tools or techniques, I believe what matters most is how I make my patients feel.
