🕊️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. 🕊️
Today, we celebrate the birth of a man who changed the world with his unwavering belief in equality, justice, and love.
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
This message is for ALL of us—especially our children.
Dr. King understood that the path to justice is long and difficult. There will be setbacks. There will be disappointments. But we must NEVER stop hoping, NEVER stop working, and NEVER stop believing in a better tomorrow.
💙 Teaching Our Children Dr. King’s Legacy:
✨ Hope is powerful—even when things are hard
✨ Kindness can change the world
✨ Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect
✨ Our differences make us stronger, not weaker
✨ Young voices matter in the fight for justice
Dr. King’s dream lives on when WE teach our children:
📚 To see ALL people as equal
📚 To stand up against injustice
📚 To choose love over hate
📚 To never lose hope for a better world
📚 To see themselves AND others as worthy of respect
This is why representation in children’s books matters. When children see diverse characters—including those with disabilities—as heroes in their stories, they learn that EVERYONE has value. EVERYONE belongs.
EVERYONE can be a changemaker.
How will you honor Dr. King’s legacy today?
💭 Read diverse books with your children
💭 Have conversations about equality and justice
💭 Teach kindness and empathy in action
💭 Show children they can make a difference
Today, we remember. Tomorrow, we act. ✊🏾
Happy Birthday, Dr. King. Your dream continues through us. 🕊️
