STD Awareness Campaign: Did you know?
Mariya Moseley
The purpose of this campaign is to inform young adults who will or have already begun to engage in sexual activity of the importance of practicing safe sex. We have included links and websites that will give you information on specific STDs, as well as more information about HIV and AIDS.
While Claflin University resides in Orangeburg, South Carolina, this campaign has been directed, but not limited to students in Orangeburg, South Carolina notifying them of the alarming statistics regarding sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS. We have included a listing of local testing center locations, letting students in the area know where they can be tested, as well as the different methods of getting tested.
The slogan for this campaign is “Ignorance isn’t Bliss”. We have selected this strong slogan, because we want it to strike out to others, letting them know that we are serious about saving our community.
While we students plan to promote this campaign on social networks such as Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, etc. We would greatly appreciate the help of spreading the word and informing people to make the right decision as it relates to practicing safe sex. We would like to thank you for all of the support in advance!
