You don’t always notice it at first.

It starts with little things. You’re the first person they call when they need help. You’re expected to understand, adjust, and keep everything together. So you do, because that’s what love and family mean to you.

Then one day, you realize something.

You’re only important when you’re needed.

When it’s your turn to need support, to be defended, or simply to be heard… somehow everyone else’s opinion matters more than yours.

You stop asking for much. Not because you’re okay with it, but because you’re tired of feeling like you’re asking the wrong person.

No wife wants to compete with everyone else for her husband’s loyalty. She just wants to know that when it matters, he’ll stand beside his family.

Being taken for granted doesn’t happen overnight. It happens little by little… until one day you realize you’ve been carrying the weight alone for a long time…
