Super excited to share that the first single for my coming album is available on all streaming platforms. It seemed appropriate to start with releasing Louisiana, the first song I wrote that I was not ashamed of. I finished it four years ago in the fall of 2021 at a time when I felt the weight of commitments and obligations, and needed to get free.

We recorded this as a trio at Joe Goretti's studio, The Beat Barn, as a trio in January 2025, with Ed Croft producing and playing bass, Nelson Rivera on drums, and myself on guitar. After that session, we went back and added backing vocals from Ed and Tina Williams, and I added slide guitar, organ, and piano parts to the recording. Joe Goretti mixed the track, and Anthony Casuccio mastered it.

Again, a big thank you to the Buffalo Music Hall for Fame for awarding me the Yellen Songwriter Award for this song, and of course, a big thank you to Ed Croft, Nelson Rivera, Tina Williams, Joe Goretti, and Anthony Casuccio. Without these people, this wouldn't exist.
