✨ Swipe through to discover 35 things Instagram LOVES! ✨

Your posts should hit the sweet spot — easy for your followers to love but sharply targeted to your specific niche.

👉🏼 Instagram now uses SEO to make sure the right people see your content. Keep it straightforward and relevant. (I often teach my students to “think like Google”. What words would your audience search on Google to find your piece of content?)

👉🏼 Posts that get saved and shared have a better chance of going viral. Engage your followers and encourage them to interact.

👉🏼 When you like and comment on posts, the Algorithm learns what you like and shows you more of that. Plus, it helps more people see your profile. In 2025, there’s a huge focus on community & connection! So BE SOCIAL on social media!!

👉🏼 Focus on 3-5 key topics (content pillars) and post consistently instead of covering too many subjects.

INFLUENCER CONTRACT TERMS TO KNOW!! 📝

📌 SAVE THIS to refer back to later!’l’

Contracts are crucial when working with brands as an influencer. Always have one in place.

When reviewing a contract, read every line carefully and understand the terms. 🔎

Once I learned the terminology and how to protect myself, I felt much more confident negotiating and ensuring the contract benefited me as the creator.

Don’t let a brand rush you into signing something you don’t fully understand. Ask questions and do your research.

LOOK OUT FOR THESE TERMS ESPECIALLY: 👀

👉🏼 Deliverables: What specific content is the brand requesting (1 IG reel + 3 story slides)?

👉🏼 Exclusivity: Restrictions on working with competitors during the brand deal.

👉🏼 Usage Rights: How the brand will use your content and for how long. Always charge for usage rights!

👉🏼 Whitelisting: The brand’s ability to run ads using your content and profile to generate like audiences.

👉🏼 Perpetuity: Never sign a contract with perpetuity, as it grants the brand indefinite rights to your content.

👉 Payment Schedule: A clear breakdown of payment amounts, timing, and method.

But how to get a brand to respond back? ⬇️

That is something I too still struggle with at times.

There’s certainly some brands that I feel like I can’t get an in with or they’re just not interested in the specific content or creator I’m approaching them with.

You have to realize that not every brand wants to work with you. 🤷🏼‍♀️

✨BUT THERE ARE BRANDS THAT DO MAKE SENSE! (It’s very important to not get down on yourself!)

💌 I typically will reach out to brands via Email. We also have the luxury of utilizing DM’s on socials.

🫶🏻 But I think the best way to get a response from a brand is being thoughtful on WHO you are reaching out to.

Making sure you’re reaching out to brands that genuinely fit for the type of content that you create!

Because if you start there Finding a clear, obvious fit with the brand- you will more likely get a response.

Ex. If you’re a creator that posts Target hauls or something like that? Reach out to brands that are stocked IN TARGET!! 🎯

👱🏼‍♀️ Finding the right person at the brand is super important! You need to talk to their influencer manager, marketing manager, etc..

👉🏼 To find the right contact you can stalk them on LinkedIn lol (or use tools like or .io ).

Make your first pitch super short and sweet! These people receiving influencer requests are inundated and don’t have a lot of time. Get straight to the point.

✋🏼 Your first pitch to a brand shouldn’t be for an immediate deal. Instead, you are opening up a conversation.

🔖 ALWAYS TAG THE BRAND: this can start up some chit chat with the brands social person! (Usually the social person is a part of the team hiring influencers)

Not every brand is going to respond and that’s FINE! There are so many brands out there that would love to work with you.

And lastly, make sure you FOLLOW UP 2-3 times. 😊

That’s a lot of noise to filter through! 😰

🤯 I have to respond to every single comment or else I’m being rude.
🤯 I need a plan to be consistent or else people will think I don’t know what I’m doing.
🤯 Repurposing content is lazy. I have to one-up myself.

Now, what would happen if you released these rules? True or not?

🫶🏻 You would have more time.
🫶🏻 You would post more.
🫶🏻 You would have more high-performing content.

So, realistically, what’s keeping you stuck?

The fact that you aren’t doing *enough*?
Not following every rule of social media?

Well, consider this your permission slip to do what works for you. You don’t have to follow all the rules of social media so closely that you feel creatively paralyzed.

It’s okay to be a rebel on IG! Experiment, try new things, have fun creating, and learn from mistakes.

Don’t want to go live?
Don’t want to engage for an hour a day?
Then don’t!

I provide a lot of tips and strategies here, but never to overwhelm you. Instead, to make it easier to find the path to success.

But even if it’s your job to be on social media, it doesn’t have to be SO SERIOUS!!!

Your mental health > social media.
