IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO SECURE HOLIDAY PARTNERSHIPS!!🎅💰
If you’ve been here for while you know- I always say to start thinking about Holiday campaigns in July & August.
BUT just because I say to start early?
Doesn’t mean it’s TOO LATE now!!
As you know, the holidays are when creators make the most money working with brands….
I’ve been on both the influencer and brand side when it comes to campaign budgets. And many brands (not all of them) but most have a “USE IT OR LOSE IT” policy when it comes to budgets.
What does that mean?
🗓️ Most brands have a fiscal year that ends in December. They have a set budget for the year and oftentimes have that leftover marketing money that doesn’t roll over into January.
So that means they have to USE that leftover budget or they LOSE IT!!
And what a waste would it be for the brands marketing department not to use every last penny of their budget?!
With increased consumer spending and bigger budgets- brands are also more likely to activate LAST MINUTE campaigns!! ⏰
🎁 What’s going to help you get these last minute campaigns? Here are a few tips:
✨ Get creative with your pitches! Pitch a specific idea/concept for a partnership!
✨ Easy integrations: Planning a holiday gift guide? Doing a 12 days of Christmas giveaway? Maybe you have a signature series? Pitch brands into these future pieces of content!
✨ If you have past holiday hits? Hyperlink them in your pitches!
✨ Negotiate Rush Fees: Be prepared to charge extra for quick turnaround times during the busy holiday season.
✨ ALWAYS upsell Whitelisting to the brand as an add-on to maximize your reach: since you’re gonna be competing with tons of ads during Q4!! Again, brands have bigger budgets to increase ad spend. (Explain to them how this helps convert more sales!)
