Part 2 of the garage makeover… and we’re finally making some progress 🙌

After our IKEA run, we got the cabinets in, started organizing everything, and found a system that actually works for how we live.

And this couch?? I’m already obsessed.

But… not everything went as planned 😅

That dresser we spent hours building? Yeah… we had to return it to IKEA and get something else.

On the bright side, things are finally starting to come together back here.

Final reveal coming next 👏

Garage makeover… take one 😅

After the move, this space turned into a complete disaster zone—so we decided it was time for a full reset.

Cue the IKEA trip… and me staying up way too late building a dresser that I was fully convinced was going to be perfect 🙃

Spoiler: it was not.

Turns out the half bath door swings at an angle… and runs right into it.

So now we get to somehow load a fully built dresser back into the truck and return it without destroying it 🫠

But hey… at least one of the cabinets worked 🙌

This is definitely not the end of this makeover…

One of the first things we changed on our new rig 👀 |AD

We made the switch from a fifth wheel hitch to a gooseneck + Gen-Y Hitch setup… and I’m honestly so excited about this one.

For us, it came down to a few big things:
✔️ freeing up our entire truck bed
✔️ getting rid of a super heavy hitch (our old one was ~200 lbs 😅)
✔️ and simplifying our setup overall

The install process was actually really smooth, and everything feels incredibly solid.

I can’t wait to get this out on the road and really see how it performs.

Next up… we keep working on this rig 👀

Day 4… we’re rolling out 🙌

We’re officially out of the bay after four days of moving everything from one rig to the next… and what felt like a million trips back and forth 😅

It’s definitely not perfect yet (the garage is still chaos), but we’re ready to hit the road and start making this space ours.

Next up… we’re switching things up in a BIG way 👀

Let’s just say this setup is about to look very different…

One of the biggest questions we get about the Timbren SES suspension system is this 👇 |AD|

Does it affect your ride when you’re not towing?

Short answer: no — and here’s why.

When the truck is unloaded, there’s actually a gap between the Aeon rubber springs and the axle.

That means your factory suspension is still doing the work for everyday driving.

Once you add weight, that’s when the system engages and starts supporting the load.

After running this setup for almost a year, here’s what we’ve personally noticed:
➡️ No change to our everyday, unloaded ride
➡️ Engages only when towing or under load
➡️ Helps keep the truck more level
➡️ Smoother, more controlled towing experience
➡️ No maintenance or adjustments needed

We’ve towed our fifth wheel in all kinds of conditions, and it’s one of those upgrades we appreciate every time we hitch up.

Rear suspension support is one of those upgrades that just makes sense when you tow.

Day 3 of moving in… and we finally finished the swap 🙌

Three days, two rigs, and what felt like a million trips back and forth later… everything is officially in the new RV.

It’s definitely not perfect yet (the garage is still chaos 😅), but it’s finally starting to feel like ours.

Next up… we’re making some BIG changes to this rig 👀

One of the very first upgrades we make to every new rig 👏

We’ve been using RV SnapPad for almost 6 years now, so it was a no-brainer to get them installed on our new rig right away.

✔️ Protects your jack feet
✔️ Helps prevent sinking/slipping
✔️ Adds stability on any surface
✔️ Installs once and stays on

We also use SnapPad StakPads when we need a little extra height or leveling support.

If you have an RV, this is one of those upgrades you’ll wish you did sooner.

Grab yours through the link in bio and use code SIMPLYSCENIC to save 10%

Day 2 of moving into our new RV… and somehow it already feels like organized chaos 😅

We drove through a full-on snowstorm just to get here — we started the move by tackling the kitchen on day one, and now we’re tackling the garage space.

For now, we’re setting things up similar to our last rig… but this space is getting a full revamp in the next few days and I cannot wait to show you what we have planned 👀

Also… how many times is too many times to move the same bin? Asking for a friend.

Day 1 of moving into our new RV 🥶

We drove through a snowstorm just to get here… and I think they were a little surprised we actually made it 😅

Thankfully the bays were heated, so we were able to move everything over without freezing—but you can still see all the snow outside while we were pulling in.

We started with a deep clean (because there was NO way anything was coming in before that 😅), and then slowly started moving everything over… one tub at a time.

And somehow the first thing we moved in was our silverware 😂

Not mad about it though… especially when we realized the new drawer already had a built-in tray 🙌

We focused on the kitchen for day one, but day two is where things start getting really fun…

That garage space is about to look completely different 👀

Come back for day 2!

New RV. Fresh start.

But before we show you what’s inside… we’re setting it up the right way.

When you live full-time in an RV, the air you breathe matters more than people realize. Cooking smells, humidity, pets, holding tanks… everything circulates in a small space.

So before we even finished moving in, we installed three AIRLOCK One units — one in each AC — so the air in our rig is actively being treated every time it runs.

Instead of masking odors, it helps treat the air at the source as it circulates through the system.

Comment AIRLOCK and I’ll send you our code to save up to 10% on orders over $199.

And don’t worry… the inside of the new RV is coming soon 👀

We did it again.
This is our fourth rig in six years.

At this point we should probably come with a warning label. 😂

And yes… we did the entire swap in freezing Elkhart, Indiana temps in the dead of winter. 🥶

Same brand.
Different floorplan.
It was a bigger move than you think.

This one’s been brewing for a while.

Why do you think we made the jump? 👀
