Matthew 11:28 – “Come to Me…”
There are moments in life when everything just feels too heavy to carry. You wake up already tired, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally drained. The kind of exhaustion that sleep can’t fix. The kind that comes from carrying worries, responsibilities, disappointments, and silent battles that no one else can see.
You try to stay strong. You try to push through. You tell yourself, “Just one more day,” over and over again. But deep inside, you’re worn out. And sometimes, you don’t even have the words to explain what you’re feeling.
That’s exactly where this promise meets you.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
This isn’t just a suggestion—it’s an invitation. A personal one. It doesn’t say “fix yourself first” or “be strong enough.” It simply says come as you are. Tired. Broken. Confused. Overwhelmed.
Rest doesn’t mean everything in your life suddenly becomes perfect. It means your heart finally finds peace, even if your situation hasn’t changed yet. It means you’re no longer carrying everything on your own.
Sometimes we think we have to hold it all together, that if we stop, everything will fall apart. But the truth is, you were never meant to carry all of this alone. That weight you’re feeling? You don’t have to keep holding onto it.
There is a place where your burdens don’t define you. A place where you can breathe again. A place where you can finally let go.
And maybe today is the day you stop trying to do it all by yourself. Maybe today is the day you finally accept that invitation—not because you’re strong, but because you’re tired of pretending that you are.
