I'm starting a monthly play reading group with a nonprofit I established when I was in California. Cynthia Beckert is helping me to get it rolling with a reading of Hurricane Diane on June 5th. We will have a reading every month beginning in June. The plays are cast specifically; so if you are interested in joining us please DM me. All play readings come with small bites and wine. It's just a fun way for us to read through plays we want to know better, and get to work with people we like. This is ONLY for actors in Orlando, FL. I am no longer based in Los Angeles. Happy Friday! We have a special ask for followers of this page. We would appreciate your help growing our YOUTUBE Subscribers. The reason we are asking is we are a Nonprofit 501c3 organization, and with this designation, we will be able to access Youtube Studios when they reopen once we have reached 1,000 subscribers. We would love to be able to create more content featuring people from underrepresented communities in media and help to provide our filmmakers with a place they can work to create their projects.

The Actors Workshop

Chrysalis Studio is thrilled to have you in this class and look forward to working with you. Your Teaching Artists is Monica Quinn who has been working professionally as a SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Actress since 2004. She has been an Acting Teacher for the past 8 years working in Prisons, and with Juvenile Youth.

The Actors Workshop specifically focuses on Technique, Character, and Audition Technique. You will be learning our version of a Meisner Based Technique and you will practice mock auditions, as well as gaining industry tips that you can use immediately in your acting.

This class will take place on Monday Evenings from 6-9pm starting November 9th and finishing on November 30th.

Your participation and feedback is an essential part of this class offering. The class will continue to grow and change based off of participants needs. *This class is ZOOM based until it is safe to reopen with COVID -19 updates.

With a degree from Ball State University in Musical Theatre, Melissa has been a professional actor from the age of 18. After starring in musicals, films, and TV shows, Melissa has now turned her attention to writing and producing. She owns two companies: Rock Your Reel, which empowers actors by helping them to create brand-specific footage for their reels, and Bravemaker Productions, a production company that creates and develops content that is uplifting and irreverently funny (like the award-winning web series "Life Group"). She lives in Los Angeles with her writer husband Jon, and their very energetic dog Lucy.
