🚨 Launch Day + A Deeper Purpose 🚨
Today, my wife Rochelle and I officially launch our middle-grade novel Sequoia Nation: The Hidden City, and it couldn’t be more meaningful to us that it’s happening during National Foster Care Month.
This story isn’t just fiction. It’s personal. Rochelle brings lived experience from the foster system and her career in education. I bring my background in storytelling shaped by adversity and resilience. Together, we created Sequoia Nation to give young readers, especially those who feel overlooked or unheard, a story that reminds them they are seen, strong, and not alone.
The Hidden City follows Cyrus, a foster child navigating grief and bullying, who discovers a hidden world and a team that helps him believe in himself. It’s about identity, belonging, and hope, and we pray it sparks healing conversations in classrooms, libraries, and homes.
📚 If you’re an educator, librarian, or advocate for youth, we’d love to connect and collaborate.
Thank you to everyone helping us bring this story to life.
