The NHC wants you to know "The timing of the use of the name Dolly for this storm is purely coincidental. Tropical storm and hurricane names for the North Atlantic Basin originate from six pre-determined rotating lists established by the World Meteorological Organization Region IV Hurricane Committee. The name Dolly replaced Diana after the 1990 hurricane season and was first used in 1996."

We want you to know T.S. Dolly is NEVER gonna be a threat to Florida. We expect to become an open wave/rain maker for the Leeward Islands.

Unfortunately, yesterday's soaker didn't count in this week's Drought Monitor (calculations end on Tuesdays and the Monitor is released on Thursdays). So there aren't too many changes since last week. Brevard & Indian River counties fell back into the D0 range. We still need rain to fill up our reservoirs.

Should Central Florida's Winter Garden be featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie even without SNOW? ❄️⛄️
We say ABSOLUTELY!
🎅🎄🤶🎁

How COOL is this? Winter Garden is on the SHORT LIST to be featured as Hallmark's Merriest Christmas Town! It's the only town in Florida that made the list of 25, and I think we should RALLY to be sure Central Florida wins.
No, we don't have a "white Christmas," but we still have all the other magic of the holidays -- minus the freezing, cold weather.

You can vote once a day -- link in comments. Please share and tell your friends! It's time for Florida to have a Hallmark Christmas movie, don't you think? (The winner could be considered for a future Hallmark movie location).
