The Disney Adventure, Disney's newest cruise ship, remains at the port in Singapore due to a mechanical issue.

The ship was set to leave on a 4-night cruise on May 7 before the sailing was canceled. Passengers who boarded the ship for their trip had to disembark.

In a statement, Disney said its teams are working on the mechanical issue and that it is providing support for guests' travel needs.

Passengers impacted by the cancellation will receive a full refund on their cruise, as well as a 50% discount on a future Disney cruise. Disney is also providing a complimentary hotel stay and up to $500 for incidentals.

The Disney Adventure debuted on March 10. Disney purchased the partially built ship in 2022 from the defunct Dream Cruises. Construction of the ship was completed by Meyer Werft, the German shipbuilder that also worked on other Disney ships, including the Disney Wish and the Disney Fantasy.

The Disney Adventure's next sailing is scheduled for May 11 and it's expected to go as planned.

Disney has announced its bringing its D23 fan event to another country. D23 Asia: The Ultimate Fan Event will take place is Singapore in 2027.

“Bringing D23 to Singapore reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company.

The multi-day event will feature similar offerings as the D23 event in Anaheim--stage presentations, special announcements, interactive experiences, and merchandise--but will be reimagined specifically for Asia.

Additional information such as dates, tickets and programming will be announced at a later date.

The photo was taken by Artemis II mission commander Reid Wiseman.

Four astronauts launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday for a 10-day mission around the moon.

After orbiting Earth during their first day in space, the crew is now on track to fly around the moon.

They won't lamd on the moon for this mission. Instead, the crew will perform a flyby where they will conduct lunar observations, recording data, taking pictures and tracking geological formations.
