It’s been a while but the mic is back out and ready to go…

It's been almost a year since I last posted and I got to tell you guys its been a long journey. Working to keep a roof over my families head has been my main goal. So unfortunately lots of my goals with the music has been postponed but still being worked on.

Another thing I want to tell you guys is behind the scenes I've been working to get my publishing rights back and finally I've done it. Without the money for lawyers I had to go other routes and finally both the copyrights which I already ready had from the beginning and the music publishing rights are now mine.

I've also been able to get 90% of the music redone from scratch using the original vocals. Some of songs I've left untouched but other songs have gotten new sounds and some extra flares that I always wanted to do but couldn't do until now.

This has been a labor of love for me and for you guys who have always be fans of Detour Records music. I'm almost at the end as I'm now looking to finalize the new versions of the songs. And unlike the constant release from the old label that are working on the old tapes, these songs sound completely fresh and remastered from scratch.

Hey everyone got a great update for you. First I know its taking longer then expected but the plan for Detour Records Best Of is still on path for release. Since the original master reels with all the tracks separated were gone all I had were the original master to work with. So the idea was just to clean up the tracks and add a few things here an there for the new release. HOWEVER things have changed.

Thanks to a new discovery it looks like I will be able to access the separate tracks of each song. So now it is not just a clean but a remix and remastering of all the songs. We will also be adding new vocals to some of the songs maybe even some new instruments and new vocal effects. Detour Records Best Of will be a complete retooling of all the tracks. That means the release will be pushed back till next year but trust me it will be worth the wait.

Did I mention we will be releasing previously unreleased material as well.. 😄👍
