🍨 Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Recipe
🧾 Ingredients
For Traditional Churned Ice Cream (With Ice Cream Maker):
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean, split & scraped)
¾ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Pinch of salt
For No-Churn Version:
2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
¾ cup mini chocolate chips or finely chopped chocolate

🌀 Churned Version (with Ice Cream Maker)
Make the Base:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar is dissolved.
Chill:
Cover and refrigerate the base for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
Churn:
Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions (usually ~20–25 minutes).
Add Chocolate:
In the last 5 minutes, add the chocolate chips.
Freeze:
Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
❄️ No-Churn Version (No Ice Cream Maker)
Whip the Cream:
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Combine:
In a separate bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
Fold the whipped cream gently into the milk mixture until smooth.
Add Chocolate:
Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
Freeze:
Pour into a loaf pan or airtight container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
