Have you ever thought what it would be like if minutes were longer than 60 seconds? I mean they could go quicker when events are less than favorable. But when they are like this, at after the best Croissant Sandwhich and Cafe Latte, and knitting, you want them to be longer, richer, and relaxing.

Finding My Way Back 🤍

If I’m honest… I lost my knitting mojo for a while. Life has been life-ing since my last post in July.

In just a few months, I moved to a new city, made a baby, helped my girls transition to a new school, started a new job, and unpacked an entire new home. That’s a lot of boxes — and a lot of emotions and new hormones to go with them. 💛

Somewhere in the middle of all that change, my needles got quiet.

But lately… I’ve been feeling a little spark again. A gentle tug. A reminder that creativity comes back when our hearts finally have room to breathe.

So here I am — taking a deep breath, picking up my yarn again, and giving myself permission to restart slowly, joyfully, intentionally.

Has anyone else ever lost their crafting mojo and found their way back? What helped you? 🧶💕

It was a wonderful surprise seeing and hearing a little heart beat few months ago. I knew there were more children to come, but so soon made my heart grow bigger and a bit more fuller.

This season has made me slloooooow down in every area of my life. Including my lovely needles.

I’m not in a rush. Just know I’m still here 🤍 knitting in a different way.

New knitting hack!! I didn’t have a needle large enough for this chunkster, so I used the key of my interchangeable needles!! Who would’ve thought!

I’m toward the end of this course on altering sweater patterns and I finally understand why my first sweater was bigger than I anticipated. I still wear it because, well I knitted it. But you don’t have to knit unflattering sweaters. They can fit you nicely, around your arms, bust, and belly (all the areas some of us wish would be more flattering). To the natural eye this looks like utter disaster. The truth is, I watched all happen. My 1 year old pulling it apart in her tiny fingers and placing a small ball of yarn to calm her itchy gums. I let this happen. I watched every second of it, as she came into my world, and felt welcomed.

Today was supposed to be the long-awaited drop of the … but life had other plans. What started as a few quick errands turned into an all-day saga thanks to unexpected car trouble and theme park traffic that could only be described as wild. We didn’t get home until after 9:30 pm, and edits from my incredible friends are still waiting to be added.

But instead of focusing on the delay, I want to pour my heart into some deep gratitude. This beanie didn’t come to life alone—it was shaped by the hands and hearts of some truly generous and talented friends.
