This season, my hydrangeas have been blooming beautifully.

As I looked at them, I thought about how they have one purpose in my garden — to bring beauty, joy, and a little happiness each time I see them. They do not try to be anything else. They simply bloom where they are planted.

That reminded me of something deeper.

Everything under the sun has a purpose. God has placed gifts, wisdom, lessons, and direction inside each of us. My father used to share wise sayings like, “If the dog doesn’t bark, the dog doesn’t eat,” reminding me that sometimes we have to speak up, move forward, and use what God has given us.

Your purpose may not look like someone else’s, but it still matters.

So walk in your purpose. Bloom where God has placed you. Trust what He has put inside of you, and let your life bring beauty, wisdom, encouragement, and light to the world around you.

Poetry feels what we sometimes cannot explain.

It lives in the quiet moments, the memories we carry, the love we give, and the lessons that shape us. Perspectives was written for readers who want words that go deeper than the surface - words that help them reflect, feel, remember, and see life differently.

If you have been looking for a book that speaks to the heart and stays with you after the page is turned, Perspectives may be the one to add to your collection.

Today I wanted to share a simple reminder about faith the size of a mustard seed…

As I stood in my garden looking at my string bean plant, I began thinking about the mustard seed. It is very small, only about 1–2 mm in diameter, yet it is packed with nutrients. That reminded me that faith can feel small too, but still carry great power.

Sometimes we look at where we are and where we want to be, and the distance between the two can feel overwhelming. But I want to encourage you to talk to God about your desires. Bring them to Him honestly and sincerely. And if those desires are in His perfect will, trust that He will help guide you where you need to go.

Small faith does not mean weak faith. Faith the size of a mustard seed is still enough for God to work with.

This reflection also connects with my Meditation Room article, God, Faith, and Proximity, where I write about how even the smallest faith keeps us close to God and how that faith continues to grow as we walk with Him.

I would love for you to read the full reflection here:

I want to ask you something today: Who is in your tribe?

Recently, I had brunch with someone who is part of mine. We had not seen each other in a few months, but when we come together, we talk about life, faith, God, and what has been happening in our walk with Him.

After our time together, my spirit felt refreshed and renewed.

That is what the right tribe can do. The right people encourage you, tell you the truth in love, support your growth, and help you keep moving forward with positive momentum.

We all need people around us who uplift us instead of drain us.

So I ask you again: Who is in your tribe?

Who refreshes your spirit? Tag someone who refreshes your spirit.
