This delusion is why people hate marketing. We can’t sit here and deny that things are reaching an inflection point with how we’re marketing.
You’ve got ads going on refrigerator screens. That’s a problem.
And even if by some magic, he’s right, the ads we experience today are far more predatory than their predecessors.
If marketers don’t start having the difficult conversation and being honest with how far this is going, someone will put a stop to what we’re doing.
