It's that time of year again! Disney Dreamers Academy 2023 is off and running. This year Questlove, H.E.R. and Halle Bailey (from the new Little Mermaid) came to inspire and mentor the kids. Another great year and another great event!

2022 was a pretty good year for us! The launching of the Wish was the highpoint but we also had Pixar Day at Sea, Disney Dreamers, and a great San Diego convention gig, and we continued work on the documentary as well.

Today marks the beginning of a very busy couple of work months. First, I'm off to San Diego for a convention gig. Then I'm on the Disney Fantasy for the first of 5 cruises between now and January to help them get Pixar Day at Sea up and running. Thanksgiving and Christmas are in there somewhere as well. Whew.

Rizza started working as a freelance Production Assistant and eventually compiled a long list of clients including Jim Henson Television, MTV Networks, Nickelodeon Studios, Walt Disney World, and the Golf Channel—ultimately turning that last one into a full-time gig that lasted for more than five years. She cherishes the part she has been able to play in Central Florida’s film and television community, and the many friends she has made along the way.

So, now that I come to the end of 2020, about 90% of my year was booked on DDA. Here's a GMA story featuring our hard work. This year, more than any other, I'm thankful for DDA for it saved my career while also starting many others.

While the pandemic posed some obstacles, the Academy was still full of signature Disney magic for teens who took part in the immersive education and mentoring experience.
