The days of picking out one of these super uncomfortable, cheap plastic costumes at your local WoolWorth…. They were stacked to the ceiling! You had to look for the style and size that was printed on the side of the box….

In my house we had to recycle… after a couple of years of left over costumes we would mix and match. One year I was Scooby Man… the cheap plastic mask of Scooby Doo and the costume and cape of super man. It’s how we did it when money was tight! We were po’!!

Florida Honors Boricua Boxing Legend: October 25th Officially Declared Félix “Tito” Trinidad Day in Orange County 🥊🇵🇷

Today marks a historic moment for the Puerto Rican community in Florida as Orange County officially declares October 25th as Félix “Tito” Trinidad Day—a well-deserved honor for one of boxing’s most beloved and accomplished legends.

The celebration comes as Tito Trinidad visits Orlando to host the 1st Annual Tito Trinidad Invitational, an exciting event showcasing talented amateur boxers from across the region. The invitational, supported by both the Orlando Boxing Academy and the Tito Trinidad Academy, aims to inspire the next generation of fighters while promoting discipline, sportsmanship, and pride in the sport.

For the local Boricua and boxing communities, this day represents far more than a title—it’s a celebration of culture, perseverance, and giving back. Tito Trinidad’s continued commitment to uplifting youth and creating opportunities in the sport that made him a global icon is a powerful reminder of his heart both inside and outside the ring.
