Did you know Chevrolet sends you a customized gift when you order a new corvette?

Official named “Welcome Kits”, these items are specific to the exact model and often color of your car. Included is usually a thank you, VIN # references, and sometimes a mini model of your car. These usually take 3-6 months to arrive after you buy the car.

Super cool of chevrolet to do this. It definitely adds a more personal feel to the corvette experience.

Some ZR1 Raw Exhaust Audio for ya

Tried to record it as cleanly as I could but this is the mic’s lowest decibel setting and it’s still incredibly loud and distorted.

This system for the ZR1 is cat-less, and has no muffler. As close as you can get to straight pipe with a turbo car.

The Grand Sport X is here!

721 AWD HP for $112,000 MSRP. $5,000 cheaper than the Z06!

The Z06 has a starting MSRP of $118,900. Sure there will be some GSX optioned higher than some Z06s, and some Z06s optioned higher than some GSXs. All depends on configuration. But base price vs base price, the GSX is in a really compelling spot. One of the quickest C8s in the lineup after the ZR1 & ZR1X. Only 0.2s slower than the ZR1 0-60 despite being half the price! Chevrolet knocked it out of the park on this one. What do you think of the new Grand Sport X?

The current production car record holder of the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb.

Driven by J. R. Hildebrand, the ZR1X made the climb in 9 minutes a 30 seconds. Beating the previous production car record by a full 23 seconds. (911 Turbo S)

While this is a standard production ZR1X, much like all of the Chevrolet Lap Record cars, this is outfitted with equipment to ensure the drivers safety. Including a roll cage, seat, harness, fire suppression system, battery & fuel cutoffs, and various pull tabs for panel access in the event of a crash.

Super cool to see this car in person at this year’s Corvettes at Carlisle.

Corvette Stingray VS Corvette ZR1X

Very different cars for very different buyers, despite sharing the same Corvette name. I bought my Stingray in 2020, put over 60,000 miles on that car and it was bullet proof. Stingray continues to be a great bargain for power and reliability in a mid engine platform for under $100k. The ZR1X is just insane and on another level, but that’s also reflected in the price tag. Either way you can’t go wrong, but always buy within your budget.

Now all I have to do is get it registered then I can actually take it to some shows

Every so often I’ll get a comment from someone saying this is their favorite car of mine. It’s definitely the rarest! Not too many 1970 Manual 426 Challengers running around.

Twin Turbo Z06s are finally hitting the roads to answer the question everyone’s been asking. Which is, can you turn a Z06 into a ZR1 by adding some turbos?

Cicio Performance bolted up two 58mm Xona Rotor Turbos by ETS running 7 lbs of boost for over 800whp.

While ZR1 can make upwards of 25 lbs of boost, it also has beefier internals. Reinforced, shorter connecting rods, & dished pistols to decrease compression ratio, increased cooling capacity, wider trans gears, and a stronger drive line.

This car specifically, owned by dbmracing2019 , has a little extra done to it, making even more power than that. It’ll be great to see how these cars compare to the ZR1 in terms of not only performance, but reliability.

We’ll be lining these cars up side by side in a drag race later this year to see how they compare!
