Did you know, Exosquad is a 1990s animated science fiction series about an interplanetary war between humanity (Terrans) and the Neosapiens, a genetically engineered humanoid race originally created and used as slaves.

The series takes place in the early 22nd century, decades after humanity colonized and terraformed Mars and Venus. At this time, the Neosapiens, who had been created to perform the heavy labor needed to colonize the planets, are living among the Terrans and facing widespread prejudice. The show was way head of its time, and would make a great candidate for an Alien style remake.

The comic book shown is Batman #614, which is part of the "Hush" storyline. The cover art, featuring Batman restraining a disfigured Joker, was created by Jim Lee and Scott Williams.
This issue, titled "The Joke," was written by Jeph Loeb and published in June 2003. The story is the seventh chapter of the 12-part "Hush" saga. In the plot, Batman, believing the Joker has killed a friend, nearly breaks his no-kill rule and brutally beats the Joker before being stopped by James Gordon. It is later revealed that the Joker was innocent in this instance.
A facsimile edition of this comic book was released in 2025.
