In 1992, Mike Chouinard created a game that would be unlike anything else...it would rival games like chess, Risk and Monopoly®. Mike designed a strategic concept placed on a round board set in outer space called ‘Control.’ Mike knew he had an awesome game, so he marketed Control to larger game companies, finally offering it to Anjar, Inc., a game broker. After many negotiations, Mike decided he c
ouldn’t put a price on years of work, etc. With the help of his father, they made tens of thousands of wooden game pieces by hand in his garage. During 1995, Mike sold a few hundred games in the Tampa, Florida area. As a family man with a 6-year old son, Michael Jr., Mike decided that he didn’t have the time or resources to continue making all the pieces by hand. Mike shelved the game until 2014 when he met Christine Stickney in Orlando, Florida. Chris, who had a marketing and graphic design background, liked the game, and thought his other ideas for games were innovative. In 2015, Mike and Chris decided to become partners in the game business. Together, they founded Claim To Fame Games so that Mike could follow his passion to design and create games for all ages to enjoy. And so Control was taken out of the box, and dusted off to be reinvigorated as Planetary Strike. Claim To Fame Games supports pet adoption and breed rescue. To that end, they have committed to donating a portion of proceeds from net sales of Planetary Strike to Pug Rescue of Florida (PugRescueofFlorida.org). Here are two national databases of pets available for adoption: petfinder.com and adoptapet.com. We Hope You Enjoy Playing It As Much As We Enjoyed Creating It. Mike, Chris & Rocky (the Pug)
