Nothing like a beautiful Sunday surrounded by the people who mean the most to me. This right here is everything. I donā€™t take any of it for granted. Being a husband and a father is the greatest thing Iā€™ve ever been called to do, and days like this remind me why I protect this peace with everything I have. Family isnā€™t just who youā€™re born into itā€™s the love you choose to show up for, every single day. Grateful doesnā€™t even scratch the surfacešŸ¤Ž

Nobody told me this before I had a daughter. Having a daughter changes you in ways nobody warns you about. Itā€™s not just the pink everything or the hair bows you never knew how to tie, itā€™s the quiet moments where she reaches for your hand and suddenly you understand what it means to be someoneā€™s whole world. Being a girl dad isnā€™t a title, itā€™s a calling.

Sheā€™s watching everything I do. The way I treat her mom, the way I handle hard days, the way I show up even when Iā€™m tired. I donā€™t take that lightly. My job isnā€™t just to protect her itā€™s to show her what she deserves. And Iā€™ll spend the rest of my life making sure she knows exactly how much sheā€™s worth.

I try my best to remind myself that one of the most powerful things I can give my kids doesnā€™t cost a thing. the vacations, the clothes the toys are nice but just me sitting on the floor, fully present, with nowhere else to be. Thatā€™s everything. We live in a world thatā€™s always pulling at your attention. Another notification. Another obligation. Another reason to be somewhere other than right here. But our kids probably wonā€™t remember all of the stuff we bought them. They will remember when we showed up. When we put the phone down. When we said ā€œletā€™s goā€ and we justā€¦ went.

Fatherhood taught me that time is the only currency that actually matters. And every moment I invest in them is a moment they carry into who they become.

So yeah my most important meeting of the day? Itā€™s whatever they want to do after school. Be present, dads. The season is shorter than it looks.
