Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing the automotive world from the factory floor all the way to the driver’s seat. What once sounded futuristic is now becoming reality as AI systems help design vehicles, improve safety, streamline manufacturing, personalize the driving experience, and even assist dealerships in serving customers more efficiently.

The automotive industry is no longer simply about building cars. It is becoming part of a larger digital ecosystem where intelligent systems constantly learn, adapt, and improve.

One of the biggest transformations is happening inside vehicle design and manufacturing. Automakers are now using advanced AI systems to help engineers create and test new concepts faster than ever before. The AI Awakening represents a major turning point where artificial intelligence systems are becoming powerful enough to assist humans in ways never seen before. AI can now recognize images, understand language, create artwork, write code, generate videos, and help businesses operate more efficiently. These advances are happening at incredible speed, and the impact is being felt across almost every industry.

Some experts compare AI to historic breakthroughs such as electricity, the steam engine, or the internet. Those technologies changed the world forever by increasing productivity and creating entirely new industries. AI appears to be following a similar path. The College of Information Technology at UAE University successfully hosted the “AI-Unlocked: A Zero-Coding AI Quest” workshop, attracting over 300 participants from 40+ schools and institutions across the UAE.

The workshop offered an engaging, hands-on introduction to Artificial Intelligence, covering key topics such as machine learning, image processing, data analysis, and clustering—all through a zero-coding approach using intuitive tools. Participants followed step-by-step demonstrations and applied their knowledge in a practical project using real-world datasets.

The workshop featured a distinguished group of speakers, including Prof. Fady Alnajjar, Dr. Rawhi Alrae, Dr. Rafat Damseh, Mr. Mohammad Banat, Mr. Basheer Al-Rei, and Mr. Abdalraheem Alsmadi, who delivered the sessions and guided participants throughout the event.

The event received outstanding feedback, achieving an overall satisfaction rate of 92%, reflecting high engagement and strong impact. A dedicated online platform further enhanced the experience by providing easy access to materials, resources, and support.

This initiative highlights UAE University’s commitment to advancing AI awareness and preparing future-ready talents in line with national innovation goals.
