Today’s excitement on the farm was tattooing and disbudding… my least favorite part of being a producer. Thankful for my better half who’s a boss at getting it done. Some may ask why we do this??? Tattoos are how we choose to identify our herd, and a requirement of the American Dairy Goat Association. Disbudding of all bucks and does is also a requirement to show in any ADGA sanctioned shows. I also feel like they have much better attitudes without their horns as breeding stock.

Well, the kidding Bingo chart is nearly full as we patiently wait on two more ladies who were supposed to kid yesterday....

Well, the kidding Bingo chart is nearly full as we patiently wait on two more ladies who were supposed to kid yesterday.... At this time we have had 4 does kid with twins. 1 set of doe twins, and 3 sets of buck-doe twins. Praying the next two kid without any complications.
A huge shout out to my better half for all of his devotion to helping me this time of year. It takes the village!
