This! is how I hear it.
Like the first time I understood Nina Simone, Carmen McRae, Nancy Wilson, Ella, Etta, Eva....doesn't matter...it's about the incredible unfolding of each phrase, each harmonic caress, the dynamics, the freedom, the "childlike" bravery....I could listen to this in my final hours and be happy.
