Celebrate the small victories. I'm doing just that, this week. Last week, I was busy tackling some of the bigger cleaning and organizing tasks, which always helps me feel accomplished. This week, I've been focused on the smaller things. The jobs that only take 3-5 minutes - sometimes maybe 10min.
Once you get started with those little things and before you know it, you've checked 5-12 things off your list - it feels just as good as one bigger project (if not better because the little things really do add up!).
And you know what, it's okay if you only get to 1 or 3 of those smaller tasks. Anything is better than nothing. Just get started working on one thing/area and usually you will find some motivation to keep going.
Today I'm getting to one of my least favorite tasks. I have to get through some paper work and make some phone calls. I need to get some things on the schedule and update my calendar. Yes, I still love a paper calendar and I don't think I'll ever change my ways. 😆
I don't want to get started (that's probably why I'm busy making a post 😉) .. but I know once I get started, I'll be more motivated to keep going. Before I know it, this task will be checked off my list and I'll feel so much better because this needs to get done.
