Our sweet little boy has been struggling to stand on hos own so we have been going every few hours to make sure he stands and latches to nurse.

Ginger and the triplets moved to the main barn and got a stall bedded with pine shavings. The tan and white boy has been struggling with standing on his own, so i wanted to move him to where we could out down fresh clean bedding that is easy for him to walk on. The goat barn is a dirt floor, and this part of the main barn is concrete. So it is easier to clean down and re-bed.
Generally we use cornstalk bedding for our goats and sheep. It works well for us, and is a free perk from the guy Brian works for. Sometimes you have to adapt to the situation.

So often we post the “perfect” things. The perfect shot, clean and edited. This is me. It’s been a long hard day of kidding and farm chores. I am tired, have messy hair, and my imperfect smile (still not 100% after bells palsy). This is me, raw, enjoying a quiet moment with a beautiful new buckling born this afternoon.

Triplets for Ginger. 2 boys and a girl. The first boy, born breach is still weak, the other 2 are doing great. They have all nursed.

Ginger is in labor. I wont be live-streaming but will post pictures as soon as they are out! Sack hasn’t presented yet so it could be awhile, but she is having steady contractions.
