On this day, the Grassroots Republicans were born.
Inside the courthouse, in a single day, the direction of the Daviess County Republican Party was changed. What you’ll see in this video is those in attendance that day. We still stand as true patriots even though they accomplished their mission, even though the Patriot headquarters will be shutting down soon our movement is just about to grow stronger then ever.
Many in attendance felt that State Representative Suzanne Miles and DJ Johnson played key roles in guiding this shift and influencing the outcome. Precinct captains were asked to vote us out, and once that happened, a new structure was immediately put in place, one that removed those same precinct captains from having a vote or a voice in the business meetings of the party they helped build.
It all happened in a single day inside that courthouse, a day that changed the future of local Republican politics in Daviess County.
But this isn’t the end of the story, it’s the beginning of a new chapter.
The Grassroots Republicans aren’t defined by titles or committees. We’re defined by the people and the people are rising.
