***FOUND! Thanks so much for everyone's help sharing the info.***

Please help me find our Sadie. She was last seen about 6 or 7 miles down College Hill road (CR102) and about a mile and a half up from the landing (Coontown boat ramp) in Oxford.

She's a black lab with a white crest on her chest. She weighs about 75lbs. My girls are ready for her to come home. She's been missing since 8pm Saturday night (June 6th).

My number is 316-8520 or 266-3500. Thank you!!

****Can you imagine why someone would want to hurt poor Groucho???****

He’s been neglected, lying on a porch for weeks with very little food while having no use of his hind legs......

And we’d love it if you helped him get him back to where he can chase mice and play with his new dad, Jerry Wexler from here in Oxford, again soon.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for reading!

Fellas! You need to read this if you're thinking about buying flowers for your girlfriends or mom or whoever.......

The very first thing you need to know when buying an arrangement is how much you’re willing to spend. Usually $30 to $50 is more than enough.

The next thing is to try and find out what type of flowers she likes……

According to Smitty over at Unversity Florist, stargazer lilies, sunflowers, ge**er daisies, or mixtures of spring colors will work well!

It can be kinda tough to talk about that in a normal conversation, so any of those should do.

Just don’t do roses unless it’s Valentine’s Day.

And if any of the ladies here on this page have an opinion over what’s best to get, then please comment below!

Well fellas, now that you know how to get some of that awkwardness out of the way of surprising your ladies, you should call University Florist at 662 234 6044!

Even if it’s nothing special, she’ll still love it!

The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors approved a motion Monday to enter into a preliminary agreement with the city of Oxford to further discuss two shared road expansion projects that would extend Sisk Avenue on the eastern side of the city and extend West Oxford Loop on the western side of the city.

The city and county need to enter into an agreement called a Regional Economic Development Act or REDA. This agreement will cover both road projects and require that both projects be done or else the agreement will be dissolved.

“REDA is not an agreement (for the county) to participate in the project themselves, but it is something that the city needs to acquire the funds for the road project that is half in the city and half in the county,” County Attorney David O’Donnell said. “The city cannot borrow money for the roads in the county without this agreement in place first.”

The road proposal will allow the creation of a road that will connect Sisk Avenue from the new Oxford High School to Highway 6. This will permit easier traffic flow to and from the Oxford Commons, an area that’s rapidly being developed.

“This will alleviate traffic congestion on other roads as well as those leading to the high school,” City Engineer Bart Robinson said about extending Sisk Avenue.

The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors agreed to move forward with discussions with the city about two expansion road projects. The roads discussed were West Oxford Loop and Sisk Avenue. (August 19, 2014, Page 1)
