Preserving the Legacy: Breeding XLs to the Standard

Dog breeding isn’t just a hobby for me; it is in my blood. I grew up around this lifestyle, tracing my roots all the way back to my great-grandfather. I learned early on that to do this right, you have to respect the history of the dog while looking forward to the future.
At BEK, my goal is clear: I am striving to breed XL Bullies that maintain the structure, correctness, and function of a Standard. We want the size, but we refuse to sacrifice the clean look and mobility of a true champion.
Here is a look at the pillars of our program and why we do things differently.

Health and Heart Above All

You cannot have a quality program without a foundation of health. We believe in total transparency. That means rigorous health testing and genetic testing before a breeding ever takes place. We are not just putting two dogs together; we are calculating the best possible outcome for the breed.
But beyond the science, there is the love. Taking care of your dogs is the baseline. We pour our hearts into these animals, ensuring they are happy, healthy, and thriving from day one.

The "Game On" Socialization Protocol

One of the biggest differences at BEK is when our puppies go home. We do not release pups until they have received their 3rd set of shots. We believe this is crucial for their immune systems and their development.
Once that 3rd set is done, it is "Game On."
• Environmental Exposure: We take them everywhere. They are exposed to different sounds, floor textures, and environments to ensure they are confident and bomb-proof.
• Pack Mentality: My adult pack plays a massive role in raising the litter. They teach the puppies boundaries, respect, and how to "speak dog."
• Human Interaction: They meet people of all shapes and sizes so that when they come to you, they are social and stable.

The BEK Family Promise

When you purchase a dog from us, the relationship doesn’t end when you drive away. You are BEK family for life.
I want to see these dogs grow, thrive, and win. I warn all my clients: I will probably annoy you by asking for updated pictures and check-ins constantly! I care deeply about where my productions end up and how they are doing.

The Future: Champing and Grand Champing

We aren't just breeding for the backyard; we are breeding for the ring. Our vision is to continue producing XLs that adhere strictly to the Standard. We are committed to proving our stock by Champing and Grand Champing our productions.
We are building a legacy of structure, health, and temperament. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Built Different: Why I Decided to Become a Breeder

People often ask what made me take the leap into the world of dog breeding. The answer isn't about profit or status—it was about looking at the dogs I already had and realizing just how incredible they were.

I was inspired by my own pack. Seeing how thoroughly bred they were, noticing the quality in their structure and temperament, lit a fire in me. I realized that I didn't just want to own great dogs; I wanted to preserve that excellence and Honoring the Past, Building the Future

What makes my program unique is a dual mindset: I remember exactly where we started, but I am laser-focused on where we are going.

Breeding isn't just about putting two dogs together. It is about respecting the foundation—the bloodlines that got us here—while having a clear vision for the future. I don't breed for trends; I breed for improvement.

Fueling Excellence: The Best of the Best

Genetics are the blueprint, but nutrition is the fuel. You cannot have a top-tier dog running on low-tier fuel.

I take the health of my dogs seriously, which is why I am transparent about what goes into their bowls. I feed the best of the best: Purina Pro Plan Lamb & Rice. This formula ensures they have the energy, coat health, and muscle recovery needed to thrive. When you buy a puppy from me, you know they were raised on premium nutrition from day one.

Environment and Socialization

My dogs don't live in a chaotic facility; their environment is peaceful, secluded, and removed from the stress of society. This tranquility is crucial for developing stable mental health in the dogs.

However, isolation doesn't mean a lack of socialization. Quite the opposite. I socialize my dogs with everything I socialize myself with. If I’m comfortable with it, they need to be comfortable with it. This exposure ensures that while they come from a peaceful home, they are ready to face the world with confidence.

Genetics and Functionality

My ultimate goal is simple but strict: I breed for healthy, fully functional dogs.

The genetics will forever be there because I utilize selective breeding. I look for the perfect match to ensure that we aren't just producing cute dogs, but dogs that move correctly, breathe correctly, and live long, happy lives. Functionality is not an option; it is a requirement.

A Lifetime of Support

Perhaps the biggest difference between my program and others is the relationship I build with my clients.

When you get a dog from me, you get ALL the guidance and support you need—and even the support you didn't know you needed. Knowledge is key. I don't gatekeep information. Whether you are a first-time owner or an experienced handler, I am in your corner. I provide mentorship and advice for the lifetime of the dog because your success is my success.

The Bottom Line

This program was built on passion and sustained by quality. We started with a vision, and we are moving forward with a purpose.

If you are looking for a dog that is structurally sound, mentally balanced, and backed by a breeder who truly cares, you’re in the right place

More Than Just a Show: Building a Family in the Bully Community

When people look at a dog show, they often see the competition, the ribbons, and the lineups. But when I look at the events we host, I see something much deeper. I see unity.
I often get asked why I decided to step up and become a show host. The answer is simple, but it means everything to me. Here is the heart and vision behind why we do what we do.

The Vision: Unity in the Community

My main goal has never been about fame or profit. The vision is strictly to bring the Bully community closer together.
We all share a passion for these dogs, but sometimes the scene can feel divided. I wanted to create a space where those divisions disappear. The inspiration didn't come from a desire to be in charge; it came directly from you. The support from the Bully community is what pushed me to take this leap. Seeing the passion you all have gave me the drive to create a platform where that passion can shine.

What Sets Us Apart?

There are plenty of shows out there, so what makes ours different?
It’s all Family! That isn't just a tagline; it is the foundation of how we operate. In our ring, everybody supports one another. We leave the politics and the negativity at the door. When you step into our show, you aren't just an attendee or a competitor; you are family.
For me, the thing that matters most isn't who takes home the biggest trophy. It is everybody having a good time and being in fellowship with each other. I want people to leave the show feeling better than they did when they arrived, having made new friends and strengthened old bonds.

A Word of Advice

I talk to a lot of people who have big dreams of hosting their own events or contributing to the community in a major way, but they hesitate. If I could give one piece of advice to someone who wants to host a show one day, it is this: Don’t be scared.
Fear of failure or judgment will hold you back more than anything else. Trust in your vision, trust in the community, and just go for it. If your heart is in the right place—if you are doing it for the love of the dogs and the people—you will succeed.
Join us at the next show! Let’s keep building this family together.

From Bluetick Coonhounds to Exotic Bullies: A Lifetime of Breeding with Purpose

When people ask me what inspired me to become a breeder, the answer is simple: I didn't just choose this life; I was born into it.
I was raised by a breeder—my stepfather was an avid, well-known Dogman in the city. I have been an active participant in the dog world since the age of six. By the time I was 12, I had already produced my first litter. It was a joint project with my pops; I owned the sire and he owned the dam—a pair of Bluetick Coonhounds. That specific breeding produced some of the highest-performing pups he had ever bred. From those early days, my passion only grew. Over the years, I have worked with a vast array of breeds, including Chinese Chows, German Shepherds, Dachshunds, American Pit Bull Terriers, Sharpeis, Olde English Bulldogges, Bandogs, Dobermans, and Dutch/Belgian Shepherds. Today, I have taken decades of experience to focus on Exotic Bullies. But regardless of the breed, my philosophy remains the same. Here is a look inside my program and what sets us apart.

Breeding with Intention: Health & Temperament First

In every breeding I have ever done, the goal has been the betterment of the breed. We breed with purpose.
While phenotype (the physical look) is important, we pride ourselves on what is inside the dog first and foremost. We breed for intelligence, a sound, balanced temperament, and functional health. We want to ensure that our clients receive a beautiful specimen, but also one that offers longevity without "genetic surprises" popping up down the road.
We are meticulous about what we put into our program—filtering out the bad to ensure the focus remains strictly on the good.

Real World Socialization

One of the biggest questions I get is about how our puppies are raised. We believe in raising puppies in a natural environment.
We allow them to be dogs. They function in a social environment that includes their parents, siblings, and other dogs of different ages, genders, and temperaments. This is crucial for teaching them animal social skills—how to respect others and play their part in a community.
As much as we love to humanize our dogs, it is vital they experience being a dog first. This prevents social awkwardness and reduces the risk of conflict or altercations in the real world.

A Partnership for Life

When you buy a dog from my program, you aren't just getting a puppy; you are gaining a Canine Care Consultant.
Because I am also a professional Canine Behavior Specialist and Trainer, my clients receive lifetime support. I provide access to:
• Training tips and behavioral advice.
• Guidance on the Human/Canine relationship.
• Food and toy suggestions.
• Education on which games to play (and which to avoid) to build a stable dog.
Many of our clients also utilize our boarding and grooming services. We are here for the life of the dog.

The Future: Miss Badu x Big Sosa

We are currently diving deep into the Exotic Bully world and are thrilled to announce our first litter of the year!
We have paired our super extreme, micro female, Miss Badu, with a phenomenal, well-known stud out of Atlanta named Big Sosa (shout out to Allstarz Bullies). Sosa is one of the nicest, fully functional Nano studs we could find.
These two complement each other perfectly. We are expecting to produce some of the nicest, "complete" bulls you will find anywhere—balancing extreme features with functionality. We can't wait to show you the outcome.
Interested in our upcoming litter? Contact us today to learn more about the program and reserve your spot in the family.
