Christian Bale is leading a $22 million foster care village in Palmdale, California, through his nonprofit, Together California with 12 foster homes, studio apartments, and a community center to keep foster siblings together and provide safe, supportive housing for children and young adults, according to Cbs News.

For Bale, the mission is deeply personal and has been more than 16 years in the making. The village will feature twelve foster homes designed to keep sibling groups together, along with studio apartments to support young adults transitioning out of foster care. A 7,000-square-foot community center will serve as the heart of the village, offering safe spaces, activities, and resources that many of these children have never had consistent access to.

This initiative tackles a long-standing issue in foster care: the heartbreaking separation of siblings due to housing limitations. Bale’s vision is to redefine how society supports its most vulnerable children, not just through shelter, but by creating real communities rooted in stability and connection.

Construction began in 2024, and when it opens in 2025, the village will stand as a rare and powerful blend of compassion, planning, and action.
