How clear and blue is the water in Palm Beach Shores?

Clear enough to see straight through it. Blue enough to make you question if you’re still in Florida.

Located near the easternmost point of Florida and just a short distance from the Gulf Stream, Palm Beach Shores is known for some of the clearest, bluest water in the state. On the right day, the water looks more Caribbean than Atlantic.

No filters. No color enhancement. Just a jar full of crystal-clear Florida ocean water.

Happy World Sea Turtle Day 🐢

One of my favorite Florida memories was snorkeling with my daughter and watching her see a sea turtle in the wild for the very first time.

The excitement, the wonder, and the look on her face are moments I’ll never forget. It’s a reminder of just how special these animals are and why protecting them matters.

Florida’s waters are home to several species of sea turtles, and our beaches provide some of the most important nesting habitat in the world. Every nest protected, every piece of trash picked up, and every light turned off near the beach helps give these incredible creatures a better chance.

Here’s to the sea turtles that make Florida’s waters even more magical and to the memories they create for the next generation.

I tell myself I’m just going to check the beach cams for a minute…

Next thing I know, I’m zooming in on water clarity, checking tide charts, stalking wind forecasts, and trying to figure out how quickly I can get out the door. 😆…like this morning 🙃🙃

The problem is when the water starts looking ridiculously blue. At that point, all productivity goes out the window.

Anyone else addicted to checking beach cams or is it just me?

No filters. No editing. Just Cato’s Bridge at high tide.

This is one of those places that doesn’t seem real when the conditions line up just right. High tide brings in cleaner, clearer ocean water from the inlet, transforming the area into a stunning mix of turquoise, teal, and electric blue.

If you’ve ever wondered why people obsess over tide charts in Florida, this is why.

Some days are pretty. Other days make you stop and stare.
