The horse represents trust, connection, and the healing power found through our equine therapy programs for veterans and first responders facing PTSD, TBI, and related challenges.

Golden Ray Publishing is honored to share the cinematic reveal of The Painted Frog, the extraordinary story of Pete “The Pirate” Carolan — a U.S. Navy UDT 13 warrior whose life embodies courage, service, sacrifice, and the enduring power of legacy with his nationally acclaimed combat military art and murals.

Following the release of The Painted Frog book on August 20, 2026, Golden Ray Publishing is proud to celebrate the continued journey of this story through its partnership with the Patriot SEAL Heritage Foundation.

We are honored to announce that Dr. (h.c.) Lisa Ray, Founder of Golden Ray Publishing and the storyteller entrusted with preserving this legacy, has been appointed Director of Media for the Patriot SEAL Heritage Foundation.

In this role, Ms. Ray will continue to amplify the Foundation’s mission by sharing the stories of our nation’s warriors, honoring their service, and bringing greater awareness to programs dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and their families. Highlighting an offering 3 to 5 day equine retreats for NAVY SEALS and working with canine trainers. The initiative support the mission of the foundation to heal PTSD, TBI, and related conditions for our veterans and first responders.
