Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an action and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny. Please feel free to give personal insight on any scripture.

This Christmas as we gather around the table, our family prayer is that your life may be enriched by the powerful reality of who Jesus is and the sweet gift of His saving grace.

The shepherds hurried off and found Mary and Joseph—and the baby, lying in the manger. Just as the angel said.
And when they had seen Him, they spread the word about what had been told them.

Ordinary men. An extraordinary message.
They didn’t have titles, influence, or wealth—but once they encountered Jesus, they couldn’t keep quiet.

And then there’s Mary. Scripture says she “treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
While the shepherds shared the news, Mary sat quietly, holding onto hope.

Today’s headlines remind us—we still need both.
People who will go and tell… and people who will stop and treasure.

The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen.
Christmas changes us when we truly encounter Jesus.

So whether you’re running to share good news—or quietly holding onto it—remember this:
Jesus has come.
Hope has arrived.
And God is worthy of our praise.

God loves to take ordinary people and do extraordinary things in them, through them and with them. And that includes you.

Even if you don’t know all the details of your calling quite yet, you can thank God for making you perfectly equipped for your assignments ahead.

And when insecurities start to make you doubt, flip the script and pray, “God, I may doubt myself. But I will not doubt You. So I will let Your perfection override my feelings of imperfection, and I will do what You instruct me.”

On a quiet night outside Bethlehem, heaven broke the silence.
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Not a philosopher. Not a politician. A Savior.
And suddenly, the sky filled with angels saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

That word peace still matters today—when headlines feel heavy and hearts feel weary. We search for peace in schedules, spending, and solutions, but Christmas reminds us peace has a name: Jesus.

God didn’t shout peace from a distance—He wrapped it in swaddling cloths and placed it in a manger. And that same peace is still offered to us today.

This Christmas, receive the good news again:
A Savior has come.
God is near.
And real peace is possible.

Galatians 4:4-5 (NIV)

But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

If only we knew how deeply Jesus understands and cares for us. If only we could see the wonder of His love. The skies He paints, the flowers He blooms, the world He arranges just for us. The love letters He’s written to us throughout the Bible.

These are all mercies from Him.

The world will offer us comfort in the form of escapes. We escape to romance novels, movies, magazines, malls, chocolate, vacations, affirmations from friends. Not that any of these things are bad. They aren’t. But they are very temporary. They make us feel good in the moment, but that good never stays. We need more and more. Trying to fill our aching hearts with these things is like trying to fill an ocean with a tablespoon. It’s never enough. So we clench our fists and keep trying to find something to comfort us.

If only we knew how to stop clenching our fists so that we could open our hands and catch the drops of His tender mercy. If only we knew how to release the weight of trying to fix it all ourselves. If only we knew to stop in the midst of it all and whisper, "Jesus … help me." Just a whispered breath formed in the wholeness of His Name carries all the power and mercy and wisdom and grace we need to handle what we face.

If only we knew.

If you find yourself wanting to escape today into one of the world’s comforts, first invest some time in asking Jesus to help you, show you and direct you. Hebrews 4:15-16 reminds us of how approachable He is, how He understands our struggles and graciously offers us help and hope: "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Specifically, ask Him to help you see and notice His tender mercies. Then you will see that, indeed, one drop of the Lord’s mercy is better than an ocean of the world’s temporary comforts.

Shepherds were in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks at night. Suddenly, an angel appeared, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. The shepherds were terrified — who wouldn’t be? But the angel said, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

The Good News is simple but life-changing: God’s Son has come to bring hope, peace, and joy. He didn’t come for the wealthy, the powerful, or the perfect — He came for ordinary people, right where they were.

Like the shepherds, we are invited to listen, believe, and share. Wherever you are, whatever your circumstances, Jesus brings joy that can’t be taken away. This Christmas, let the angel’s message remind you: God’s hope has arrived — the Savior is born!

Each day, let God whisper the truth of who you are and Whose you are into your heart and mind.

Filter the opinions of others through the reality that just because they think it doesn't make it true.

Be brave enough to see negative feedback as a possible call to action but not a definition of your identity.

And while you can enjoy the positive feedback, refuse to get bloated by it.

And if you feel like you didn't use that filter today, find comfort in the fact that you can try again tomorrow.

The calendar may close,
but Heaven does not.

Where this year brought storms,
God brings seed.
Where it held silence,
He is writing songs.

You are stepping into a week where grace goes before you,
mercy guards you,
and His presence crowns every ending
with the promise of a divine beginning.

The Author of time is not finished.
And what He restores will outshine what you lost.

“*I will make all things new.” — Revelation 21:5*

🙏 *Prayer*
Lord, breathe upon my week and the final days of this year.
Redeem what I cannot recover,
heal what I cannot explain,
and open what no hand can close.

Lead me into newness—
not only in my calendar,
but in my spirit.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
