Yep… respect my
After 16 years of sharing my life on camera and building this incredible community of over 5 million of you across my platforms, I’ve learned that one of the most important skills in this space is: knowing what to share and what to protect … and that both choices come from a place of love.
Yesterday, I posted someone who means the world to me, and I made the intentional choice not to show his face. That post has already been viewed by over 700,000 people in just 12 hours. While I’m so grateful for this platform and the reach it gives me to inspire and connect with you, I also recognize that this level of visibility comes with responsibility - not just to you, but to the people in my life who didn’t choose this. In my day-to-day life here in Brazil, we live openly and comfortably. Most people who know me personally have met him. But the internet isn’t my entire life - it’s a space where I share inspiration, my work, and moments that feel right to share. And sometimes, honoring someone means celebrating their impact without exposing them to a level of scrutiny they never signed up for.
Here’s what I want you to know: boundaries aren’t about shutting people out - they’re about sustaining what matters most. They’re how we protect our peace, preserve our relationships, and show up authentically for the long haul. The people who truly support you will respect your boundaries, even when they don’t fully understand them. That’s what real connection looks like. And I’m so grateful to those of you who already get this - you make this community a place of mutual respect, not just consumption.
If you’re reading this and it resonates, take it as your reminder that you have permission to set boundaries in your own life, too. You don’t have to share everything to be authentic. You don’t have to give access to every part of your world to be loved. Share what feels right, protect what’s sacred, and trust that the people who are truly for you will honor both. That’s the foundation of any relationship worth having - and I’m honored to build that kind of community with you.❤️
