Beautiful night to take in the art of Desert Hot Springs! We viewed the recently added vibrant murals at Pierson & Palm, a partnership between Casey Zolton’s Known Gallery & the City of DHS. Zolton brought in
notable street artists to create 12 walls as “an open-air gallery.” Here, works by Shepard Fairey and Cryptik. All the murals are protected as gifts to the city, with more to come, as DHS evolves into a walkable city with more shopping and art galleries planned.

And then the sky gifted us with a rainbow! 🌈

Jose Dávila’s sculptural work for Desert X 2025 is awe-inspiring when you observe closely. The marble blocks are extractions from a quarry a few hundred miles across the U.S.–Mexico border, and have not been altered in any way. Dávila’s mission is to establish a relationship between the void of marble from its origin and the striking presence it creates in a foreign landscape.

Desert X may be officially over, yet there’s still time to experience Dávila’s work as it remains I n place until Oct 7th. We recommend heading to the location in Whitewater for sunset! 🌅

Opening night JTMF and the air was magical! Media gathering in the Gallery, founder greets us as we meet new friends and old- Heather saunters towards us from her .us pop-up, one you won’t want to miss for special handcrafted finds! I picked up a cool mono print from local artist .design as the stages were being set for tmrw’s lineups.

JTMF runs through Sunday, full of exciting and talented musicians on 3 stages, yoga & dance sessions, painting, massage and bodywork therapists and, of course, Kidsville creative play areas. A beautiful open air experience well worth the drive!
