2 more talking pictures and, even though these also are streamable, though with the “talking” they go way beyond!
Nuremberg, because time was short to see in theatre before Film Fest and, as many of you will agree, has gotta be the top Oscar contender, certainly in my book! A psychological historical thriller full of real raw footage (that is very very hard to take- more than shocked and crying!) and extraordinarily compelling performances from Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon and more, I have to say, I didn’t want this film to end, and in the 2 1:2 hrs I as glued to the screen. Brilliant writing & direction by James Vanderbilt, who explained in detail how it was shot and how he captured so many elements of both suspense and surprise.
And I just can’t get enough (talent-wise & screen presence-wise) of Oscar Isaac 🔥!! The documentary “King Hamlet” was directed and filmed by his wife, Danish director Elvira Lind, and goes behind the scenes as Oscar is both preparing for and performing the role of Hamlet at the Public Theatre, all while serious life-changing events (his mother dying, his director/wife giving birth, taking care of the baby) are taking place. Well done!!!
