HI FRIENDS! join us tomorrow at lunch (12:10-12:50) in front of the dining hall for a SUPER EXCITING activity to get you excited for this semester's issue of Caledonia! be ready to make your mark by putting your handprint in paint tomorrow and writing a "6 word memoir" or haiku next to it! we can't wait to see all the creativity that is just waiting to be shared!

Rise, rose, under the pensive summer sky

Stretch your head up and embrace the light of literacy

Bloom and blush blue

Fill your cup with purpley life

And let it drip to the ground

Until no drops are left and you

Have quenched the urge to write

To speak your thoughts on pages

Then you will have become a silent

Speaker with paper to communicate

With the world that quietly awaits your words

Pop Quiz:
Question #1: Why is Caledonia so awesome?
Answer: Caledonia is awesome because it showcases the talent of upper school photographers, writers, poets, painters, and all kinds of artists!

Question #2: Why should you submit to the fall issue of our magazine?
Answer: Because everyone has a story to share, whether it is expressed through the written word or visual art!

Question #3: When is the last day to submit to this semester’s issue?
Answer: Friday, November 13th! So send us the essays you’ve written in English, the doodles you made during class, the work you’ve done outside of school — you name it, we’re excited to see it!

Question #4: How can I submit?
Answer: Email your work (or photos of your work, if you’re sending in visual art) to [email protected]!
