NHC still has that area highlighted this morning at a 20% chance of development. Same as yesterday, models aren't very bullish on any kinda development on it. Nothing at all to be concerned about. Other then that there's nothing going on out there, all is quiet and that looks to continue for the next 7 days at least. Pretty typical for this time of year. On average we don't see our first hurricane until August 11th so we're still on par for the year. Dont let your guard down tho because id expect the season to ramp up especially as we enter the heart of Hurricane season. Hope everyone enjoys thier weekend! Gonna be hot and humid with a 100% chance of sweat!

NHC now has a small area in the MDR (Main Development Region) at a 20% chance of development. Models aren't very bullish on it. Not a really favorable environment for development especially as it enters the Caribbean. We will keep you updated.

New spaghetti models, nothing really different. NHC still has this area at a 40% chance of development but that window is closing fast. Alot would need to happen for this low to develop into a tropical depression or storm. If I had to make a guess id say we're not getting Dexter. We will see.

Invest 93L running out of time. Its not looking too promising that were going to get Dexter out of this system. Nonetheless the system getting a name was never a concern, the main concern was flooding rains from it. The current circulation seems to be just east of Panama City on radar, over land, with not alot of rain accompanied with it. I guess there may be a very small window for it to develop, especially if a new low forms over the Gulf just south of the panhandle in the Gulf, but odds or low. We will still get some rain today and tomorrow from this but nothing to be overly concerned about. Enjoy the day, keep the umbrella handy! We will keep you updated!

Looks like the northern track has won. If this verifies there won't be any tropical development because the center will not get into open waters. Expect heavy rainfall in areas in the panhandle, this doesn't mean everyday will be a washout but some areas will see heavy rains while other areas will miss out. Nothing written in stone yet but the odds are decreasing i would say of Dexter forming.

Invest 93L coming ashore now just south of Daytona Beach. Models still aren't showing much development of 93L. Alot of the models are now showing more of a northerly track which will keep 93L from gaining much strength. A few models still have the southerly track so we can't write that off yet, but its becoming less likely with each passing update. Threats remain the same, heavy rainfall possible and rough surf. Hope everyone enjoys thier day. More updates to follow as they come in.
