Our original actress had to back out of the role of Salley in "Bloodshine" and "The Hillbillies". So we would like to welcome Jannie Tackett as our new Salley.
I am so looking forward to seeing what Jannie brings to our film. Thank you Jannie for being a part of "The Hillbillies" family!!!

I went to a local film makers meeting today, and made some really great contacts for future filming locations, actors, crews, etc. and new friends for our projects. Thank you Donald Boling for the invite. I had a great time and looking forward to the next meeting.

Getting so much closer to filming our short teaser film "Bloodshine" for "The Hillbillies" feature.

***TEASER ALERT***
Opening scene for "The Hillbillies"! In no way will this give away the story of the movie. But hopefully get people more interested in what we are doing.

ENJOY!

OPENING SCENE – THREE YEARS EARLIER
EXT. OZARK WOODS – NIGHT

Darkness.
Branches SNAP.

A YOUNG WOMAN—early 20s—bursts through the trees, barefoot, filthy, streaked with blood and mud.
Her breathing is ragged.
Panicked.
She doesn’t look back.

Behind her—

Footsteps.

Slow.

Unhurried.

THE CHASE

She stumbles through roots and rocks, tears ripping down her face.
She glances back—

CHESTER RAY CLAMPIT steps into a patch of moonlight.
Smiling.
Not rushing.

CHESTER RAY: (shouting, amused):
Ain’t no sense runnin’.

She turns forward—
Trips.
Hits the ground hard.
Scrambles to her feet just as Chester lunges—

He grabs at her, tearing fabric as she twists free and bolts again.
She makes it ten more steps.
That’s all.

THE CATCH

Chester tackles her from behind.
They hit the ground.
She screams.
He clamps a hand over her mouth.

CHESTER RAY (low, calm):
Hush now.
You don’t wanna make it worse.

She thrashes, fighting with everything she has.
Chester reaches into his coat—
Pulls out a METAL WATER SPOUT, the kind meant for the outside of a house.
Cold.
Industrial.
He forces it against her throat.
Her eyes go wide.
Her screams die into choking gasps.

EXT. CLAMPIT CABIN – LATER

The woods are silent now.

Chester drags her limp body toward a RAMSHACKLE CABIN.
A large BARREL OF MASH sits outside, half-covered.
Steam rises faintly from it.
He lifts her with practiced ease.
Drapes her over the barrel.
Attaches a hose to the spout
Turns the valve.

We hear the liquid begin to run.
Chester watches, satisfied.
CHESTER RAY (to himself):
Ain’t wastin’ a drop.

The mash DARKENS.
The sound continues.
CUT TO BLACK.
