Heck yes!!! Bring on the cooler temps!! 😅 even if it means MORE rain… beggars can’t be choosers, right? Every time I start to curse the never ending mud, I remind myself we moved here for green grass and the grass don’t grow if there’s no rain! Not gonna lie though, I do miss flip flop/croc season. No such thing out here! Muck boots year round.

Heads up on milk: you amazing people blew us up with milk pre-orders for today and tomorrow and we’re essentially sold out! Jess is at The Salem West Virginia Farmer's Market right now with the pre-orders that were reserved for pick up there. We’ll be at Mountwood Market and the Tractor Supply Co. in Parkersburg tomorrow with the preorders that were reserved for those locations. We won’t have any extra to sell for walk-in’s.

Milk comes in every day. But we don’t sell anything more than a couple days old, so that limits how much we can have available at any given market. If anyone wants to coordinate a milk pick up for Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, we will have more available. Feel free to DM us! We’re also working on weaning a calf off of one of our other jerseys to make MORE milk available. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we adapt. We did not expect this much interest in raw milk. But we’re incredibly grateful for it! 💕

The scene: plywood counter with faux marble stick-on laminate for a washable surface in an outbuilding wood shed with a power cord ran from the house for essentials like fan and slow cooker. Jess is out there early in the morning to beat the heat and late at night working on her soaps. Neighbors probably think we’re tweakers. But HUSTLE doesn’t care where you start. It just cares that you put in the effort. I hope that we can look back at this reel in 1 year or 5 years and say “dang, we’ve come a long ways from making soap in single loaf molds in a shed with an extension cord for power!” It doesn’t matter where you start, just start! 💕

Update on the “bucket o’ piglets” from a couple weeks ago. They’re growing like weeds and getting chunky. We moved them from the barn to pasture today so they can learn how to do all the pig things. They wasted no time nibbling on grass and pushing some fresh dirt around with their noses! 🐽🐷 stay tuned for more!
