Happy new Year my friends!!!

It’s been a YEAR. Out with the old…in with the refreshed…

This year:
✨we diversified services —adding VIP days, Consulting, and Strategy sessions.
✨We lost clients and gained some amazing ones.
✨We learned about burnout and bandwidth.
✨We grew, we shrunk, we learned about capacity and found our ideal client.
✨We launched a political campaign and found a vision for 5 years from now (follow the campaign )
✨We dove into fun trends with clients, we threw spaghetti at a wall and learned what worked for us and didn’t.
We scaled back, and dove into other things. We tried new platforms and left them when they didn’t serve us.

The past couple of months have been a LOT and we learned a lot — and I learned who I can lean on in business and in life and who I can’t. Those are always tough lessons but they make us stronger. Right?

Earlier this year, we called 2025 the year of pruning. Pruning clients, team members who weren’t working out and systems that didn’t serve our workflow— sure holding onto things is the path of least resistance but hard decisions don’t help us grow right?

So in 2026, here’s to protecting our bandwidth, finding communities, attracting the right clients, and growing strategically with the right people by our side. Forever grateful to my clients, my business besties, my family and my incredible community for supporting me through year 5! Onward to year 6!!

What if…
What if you started showing up? What if your business reprioritized marketing? What if marketing felt less like a black hole or a waste of time?

And what if you had the confidence that what you were doing was actually moving the needle?

How about that for 2026? How about a strategy session where we deep dive into what you SHOULD be doing, and the results you COULD get if you made more of an effort or an investment?

There’s a lot of could have, would have, should haves in business… but marketing shouldn’t be one of them. It shouldn’t be an after thought. It should be something that you invest in for the future of your business.

If you’re ready for a strategy and a partner to help you get there — that’s what my 4 month marketing strategy intensives are for. If you want to really hit the ground running in 2026… let’s make it happen.

When I ask a client what their social strategy is, often they say "What Strategy?" or "I post reels." (TRULY I hear this more times than i should!)

Reels are not a strategy. Nor is simply posting to Facebook. Showing up is the minimum, but just showing up isn't going to get you REAL results.

The real questions you need to be able to answer are: "Who are you marketing to? What are your goals? What content are you putting out? Who are your competitors? When was the last time you did a SWOT analysis on your marketing? What are your content pillars? What's worked? What didn't? What are your goals for THIS year?"

Insert blank stares...from most. Not all, but many.

Here's the thing: if you're missing any of those pieces, chances are your marketing COULD BE falling a little flat, and you could be missing out on opportunities for leads, and ultimately...sales.

My strategy sessions are an opportunity to find your blind spots. What's missing? What could you be doing better? How can we brainstorm? What audits need to be done?

For a limited time, I'm offering 1-hour strategy sessions where you get my recommendations, content ideas, and all my notes. If you could benefit from an outsider pov... let's chat.

I had a client say to me this week that his marketing felt like a black hole.

I feel like i hear this more often than i should from fellow small business owners.

But if your 2025 marketing felt a little “throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks,” or constantly feels like a black hole as well? Keep reading... I've got a workshop you need.

TOMORROW -- December 5, I’m hosting a FREE 60-minute online workshop to help you map out a clear, doable marketing plan for 2026 at 1pm ET.

We’ll talk about how to set SMART marketing goals that actually support your business goals, how to audit what worked in 2025 and what didn't, and how to map out campaigns that attract and convert your ideal clients.

How are you feeling about your marketing right now? 👀
A) Totally overwhelmed
B) Kind-of winging it
C) Ready for a real plan

2026 is just around the corner — what was your biggest win this year?

Let’s take that win — whether it was hiring someone to manage your marketing, outsourcing your marketing to get it off your plate, building a strategy, or even just marketing your business consistently… and build on it for next year.

I’m hosting a workshop where we evaluate these wins (and challenges!) and build out a plan for next year. It’s 1 hour, Friday December 5 at 1pm. Comment 2026WORKSHOP to get the details. Let’s make 2026 better than 2025.

You do not need to be on every platform or post every day to have a successful year in business.

What you DO need is a clear, focused marketing plan that supports your actual business goals.

On Friday, December 5, I’m hosting a free 60-minute online workshop to help you plan your best year yet in 2026.

We’ll walk through how to:
✅ Set clear, actionable marketing goals
✅ Audit your 2025 marketing so you know what to keep, tweak, or drop
✅ Map out campaigns and strategies for the year ahead so you can show up with confidence instead of guesswork

This workshop is designed for real business owners who want a plan they can actually stick to, not another PDF that collects digital dust.

💻 It is live, online
⏰ 60 minutes
💸 Free to attend

I did a thing… AGAIN. 🍋📚

Today’s the day — We Lead, Volume 3 is officially out in the world and I’m honored to be one of the authors in this project.

Inside, more than 2️⃣0️⃣ incredible women in business share real stories, lessons, and tools about building community, collaborating, and leading through the messy middle of life and business.

In my chapter, I open up about a season of growth and pruning — not just in business, but in life (and yes, while running for public office at the same time 🙃). My little lemon tree and a few tough losses over the past year inspired the story.

My Nana always talked about pruning her rose bushes so they could grow back stronger. As I nursed my lemon tree back to life after a long winter this past summer, I realized the same is true for us:
Sometimes you have to cut things back — offers, commitments, even relationships — so you can grow deeper roots and thrive in the next season.

🍋 If you’re in a “pruning season” of your own, this book will make you feel a little less alone. And you’ll read the stories of so many powerhouse women who are leading, rebuilding, and reimagining what business can look like.

I’m so grateful to be part of this project, led by AliceAnne Loftus, Professional Coach and surrounded by such incredible contributors.

👉 Want to read it? Send me a DM and I’ll send you the link to grab your copy.
And if you do read my chapter, I’d love to hear what part hits home for you most. 💛

If you want to grow, stop avoiding your marketing.

I'm not even just talking about social media marketing. Because, contrary to popular belief, social media is not the be-all and end-all of marketing tactics.

But if you're wondering why you're not getting new phone calls, or why your leads have been stagnant, you've gotta show up. In your community, online, and to your email list. I was just talking about this over a strategy session yesterday, and literally, my client didn't want to do social so, we're building her a strategy to market herself in the community, without showing up on social. Maybe that's something we layer on later, but we're going to lean heavily on networking and email marketing.

If you hate showing up on video, and loathe Facebook (it's okay to admit it... many of us even in this industry do.), you still need to show up for your business and put yourself out there.

I've been a little MIA in my own marketing lately. Life has been a bit busy, and we're keeping our trains moving, so my own marketing has been falling a little by the wayside, but I've been okay with it (I'll talk about that later! This year has been a solid lesson in bandwidth and capacity!). That being said, we want to end the year strong, we're reevaluating a BUNCH of things, and I'm really making a point to SHOW UP.

If you need support in building a strategy for 2026, which may or may not include social media, we have limited consulting spots available in December and January.

SAVE THIS 👇👀

How is 2026 only less than 2 months away?! I feel like time flew by this year, like WOOSH. But either way, I tell clients all the time that now is when you want to start looking at 2026 so you know what worked, what didn’t, and what you do more (or less) of in the year ahead!

Here are the metrics I look at:
👉 Lead Sources (where are they coming from? How many do i have? 👀)
👉 Conversion rates & how to know which channels are most effective
👉 Year over year growth for brand awareness
👉 Revenue & sources (service offerings: which served and didn’t? How can I diversify revenue?)
👉 Content ideas and overall campaign themes month by month for the year ahead.

Join me for a FREE workshop on 12/5 at 1 pm to learn more about how to plan your marketing to have your best year ever - from auditing your metrics, to planning to accomplish goals based on conversion rates. I love this time of year for strategizing and mapping out some big goals! DM me for the link to join!

Don't know what to post? That's okay--- here's what you can do instead. 👀 (You're going to want to save this one friends!)

Your stories are a fantastic opportunity to bring your audience into your world, start conversations, and poll your followers. If you're not doing that (even if you're posting every day!)? This is your sign to shift your strategy.

Because here's the hting, even when I go DAYS without posting because I'm too busy, or client work is piling up... I stay connected through my Instagram stories. I share my to do lists, my process, my offers... and it keeps me top of mind with my audience.

Because I get it! We're busy business owners. (i have a 12+ hour day today myself!) We don't want to be on camera 24/7 or dancing for reels, and sometimes, we just simply...lack inspiration. (Just me?) BUT you can still be intentional with your content -- especially in your IG stories.

People need to know, like, and trust... so use your stories to build that framework, making your content more than just background noise. Share your offers. Share your lead magnets. Really bring people into your orbit. People want connection more than anything and when everything else is overwhelming, stories can be an easy way to build those connections.

Save this post to revisit when your stories feel stuck & follow me for more helpful social media tips for small businesses. 💙

Tell me: what kind of content feels easiest to share in Stories right now? Behind the scenes? Promotional? Or are you just a re-share your post kind of homie? 👀
