Prayers for a momma who flew from Texas to Ontario, Oregon. Last April her son was murdered at one of the homeless camps we visit every Sunday. The camper he and his three dogs were sleeping in was set on fire. All were killed in the blaze.
The sentencing is tomorrow. Her family and friends happened to be out at the camp in the burned out area when we arrived. They invited us over and asked for prayer. Our team prayed for the momma, family, and friends. Then they released ballon’s for him.
It reminded me of losing Seany and the agony Jessica endures. It was such a blessing to be able to pray for them, even though for most it I was a blubbering ball baby myself.
I lift them up to you Lord. May they get some kind of closure tomorrow. But more importantly may they find the healing that only You can provide. I pray that they cling to You, that they call out to You! May You give them a peace that surpasses all understanding.
