To All Homeowners of City of Peabody
I am writing this to make aware of ALL HOME OWNERS of CITY OF PEBODY.
There is a law G.L. 266, § 120B that every homeowner should be aware of. This law allows you to go onto you abutters property to make necessary repairs to your property and many other things.
Last year I asked the city building inspectors , the Mayor of Peabody, city counselors for help. I got none from all.
The city buildings inspectors are useless in this city. 9 years ago I wanted to repair things on my sisters property and the same abutter refusd the worker on the put a latter on her property in order to inspect the damage and give me a quote. When I called the city inspectors office and told them what happened, I was told that that is a CIVIL MATTER.
Same abutter building a driveway, called the town hall again, and was told everything is ok. 8 years later I find out that nothing about this driveway was legal to be built. When contacted building inspectors was told again it’s a CIVIL MATTER. REMEMEBER THESE WORDS WHEN YOU CONTACT THEM.
The only one in the Mayors office that was trying to help was Beth. The Mayor citi counsel and all the other politicians in thi city are only here to line their pockets and avoid helping senior citizens and veterans when we need
their help.
I had a similar incident in Salem, where an abutter refused to let workers on his property, and after calling the building inspector he was on the site within 1/2 hour and the problem was resolved.
How is it that Salem leaders care about their citizens an Peabody’s DO NOT
