TRAFFIC ADVISORY/TEMP ROAD CLOSURES TOMORROW AM

Tomorrow morning, Bryantville Elementary School will be holding its annual Bike-A-Thon from 8:25 a.m. until approximately 9:30 a.m.
Streets closed will include Hobomock Street, Mill Street, Center Street between Hobomock Street and School Street, West Street, and Gurney Drive. Each road will reopen after last bicyclist has cleared.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area during this time, seek alternate routes and please use caution and watch for bicyclists and pedestrians in the area. PLEASE SHARE!!!!

Two downed utility poles and wires likely contributed to the Sept. 26 fire at Callahan Auto Parts on Mattakeesett Street, according to Fire Capt. Jordan Hill, though the cause remains under investigation.

Should the town keep its license plate reader cameras, and who gets to decide? Police, residents and Select Board members weighed in Wednesday night, with a recommendation to the town manager still to come.

Police Chief Wendy LaPierre told the Select Board on Sept. 23 that license plate reader data is now kept seven days instead of 30, while Town Manager Bill Chenard said the decision on the cameras rests with him under the Town Manager Act.
