RIP, Vinyl Night 😢

This Monday will be the last Vinyl Night at Black Band. We started this weekly gig more than 1.5 years ago and are bummed it’s ending.

But we’re also grateful that we had the opportunity to do something that was a collaborative and unique vision for Peoria. We’re thankful for your support over this time — for showing up, hanging out, and contributing to the community feel and fun times we strived for every Monday. The backbone has always been the music, and we feel fortunate to have gotten to spin the songs we love on vinyl for you. We hope you enjoyed hearing nostalgic classics and giving your Shazam a workout too.

All three of us will be spinning this Monday. Come raise a glass and celebrate this cool thing we did together. ✌️

We want to actively acknowledge MLK Day and the work of all those involved in the Civil Rights Movement, including the many musicians who have lent their voices throughout history. Black culture and the experiences, in particular the suffering, of Black people is foundational to the music we love and spin as white DJs. It is absolutely a privilege we do not take for granted.
